Buddist Prayer: With Every Breath
With every breath I take today, I vow to be awake. With every step I
take today, I vow to take with a grateful heart-- So I may see with eyes
of love into the hearts of all I meet, To ease their burden when I can
and touch them with a smile of peace.

Entering into the Gates of Heaven
Bring us, O Lord God, our last awakening, into the house and gate of
heaven, to enter into that gate, and dwell in that house where there
shall be no darkness nor dazzling, but one equal light; no noise nor
silence, but one equal music; no fears nor hopes, but one equal
eternity; in the habitation of thy glory and dominion, world without end.

For The Deceased Person
Lord Jesus, our Brother and our Saviour, welcome (name) into in the
heavenly banquet, where you are Lord for ever and ever. Amen.

For Those Who Mourn the Death of a Child
Lord, whose ways are beyond understanding, listen to the prayers of
your faithful people: that those weighed down by grief at the loss of
this [little] child may we find reassurance in your infinite goodness. We
ask this through Christ our Lord.

Gentlest Heart of Jesus 1
Gentlest Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever
consumed with burning love for the poor captives souls in Purgatory,
have mercy on the soul of Thy servant, R.; bring him from the shadows
of exile to Thy bright home in Heaven, where we trust Thou and Thy
Blessed Mother have woven a crown of unfading bliss. Amen.

Gentlest Heart of Jesus 2
O Gentlest heart of Jesus, ever present in the blessed sacrament,
ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in
Purgatory, have mercy on the soul of Thy departed servant. Be not
severe in Thy judgment but let some drops of Thy precious blood fall
upon the devouring flames, and do Thou O merciful Saviour send Thy
departed servant to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.

Oh Piadoso Corazón de Jesús siempre presente en el Sagrado
Sacramento, siempre lleno de amor ardiente por las pobres almas
cautivas en el Purgatorio, ten piedad del alma de quién llega a Ti con
humildad. No seas muy severo en Vuestro Juicio y deja que algunas
gotas de Vuestra Preciosa Sangre caigan en las devoradoras llamas y
haced, oh Piadoso Senõr, que Vuestros Angeles conduzcan el alma

God is Our Hope and Strength
God is our hope and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be moved, and though the
hills be carried into the mists of the sea; Though the waters thereof
rage and swell, and though the mountains shake at the tempest of the

Islamic Funeral Prayer
O Allah, forgive and have mercy on him(her). Grant him ease and
respite. Make his resting place a noble one, and facilitate his entry.
Cleanse him with water, snow and coolness, and purify him of
wrongdoings as a white cloth is purified of grime. Grant him an abode
finer than his worldly one, and grant him entrance to Paradise and
protect him from the chastisement of the grave, and protect him from
chastisement of the Fire.
