II Timothy 4:7-8

A Commendation at the Time of Death
Depart, O Christian Soul, out of this world; In the Name of the Father
Almighty who created you; In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed
you; In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you. May your rest be
this day in peace, and your dwelling place in the Paradise of God.

A Prayer For A Deceased Man
Incline, O Lord, Thine ear to our prayers, in which we humbly  beseech
Thy mercy, that Thou wouldst place the soul of Thy servant, which Thou
hast caused to depart from this world, into the region of peace and light;
and unite in the fellowship of Thy Saints. Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

A Prayer for a Deceased Father or Mother
O God, Who has commanded us to honour our father and mother, have
compassion in Thy mercy, on the souls of my father and mother;
forgive them their sins, and grant that I may see them in the joy of
eternal brightness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for Deceased Parents
O God, in Thy mercy have pity on the soul of my father/mother, and
forgive him/her his/her trespasses, and make me to see them again in
the joy of everlasting light. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son,
Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God,
world without end. Amen.

A Prayer For a Deceased Woman
We beseech Thee, O Lord, in Thy mercy, to have pity on the soul of
Thy handmaid; do Thou, Who hast freed her from the perils of this
mortal life, restore to her the portion of everlasting salvation. Through
Christ our Lord, Amen.

A Prayer for a Lately Deceased Person
Absolve, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the soul of Thy servant (name),
from every bond of sin, that being raised in the glory of the resurrection,
he may be refreshed among the Saints and Elect.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer For the Dead #1
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence, their lives change but do
not end. In company with Christ, Who died and now lives, may they
rejoice in Your kingdom, where all our tears are wiped away. Unite us
together again in one family, to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon
them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

A Prayer For the Dead #3
Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon
them. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God
rest in peace. Amen.

A Prayer For the Dead #4
Into your hands, O Lord we humble entrust our brother/sister (Name). In
this life you embraced him/her with your tender love; deliver him/her
now from every evil and bid him/her enter eternal rest.
Welcome him/her then into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no
weeping nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy. Amen.

Absolve, We Beseech Thee
Absolve, we beseech thee, O Lord, the soul of your servant (name) that
being dead to this world she may live in You, and whatever sins she
may have committed in this life through human frailty, do You, of Your
most merciful goodness, forgive. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

these prayers, or you may choose your own. These
prayers are in alphabetical order, with some
Spanish prayers mixed in. If you do not see a

Among the Spirits of the Righteous

repose, give rest also to the soul of Your servant, for You alone are
Immortal. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. O Savior,
You are our God who descended into Hades and delivered from suffering
