For The Deceased Person
Lord Jesus, our Brother and our Saviour,
welcome (name) into Paradise. Let him/her be
with You in Your kingdom and share for ever in
the heavenly banquet, where you are Lord for
ever and ever. Amen.

For Those Who Mourn the Death of a
Child
Lord, whose ways are beyond
understanding, listen to the prayers of your
faithful people: that those weighed down by
grief at the loss of this [little] child may we
find reassurance in your infinite goodness.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

God is Our Hope and Strength
God is our hope and strength, a very present
help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear,
though the earth be moved, and though the
hills be carried into the mists of the sea;
Though the waters thereof rage and swell, and
though the mountains shake at the tempest of
the same. There is a river, the streams
whereof make glad the city of God, the holy
place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

Great Work of Love
Oh great work of Love! By suffering on the
cross He freed us from unending death, and
by rising from the dead, He gave us Eternal
Life. ~ Liturgy

Guide Me Through These Dark Days
O Lord, I am torn up with grief. I know you are
there, but I cannot see past my sorrow and
tears. Be with me, Lord, and do not take my
unhappiness to heart.
Rather, work within me to guide me through
these dark days and bring your light to my life,
so that I may see your goodness, even in my
mourning.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women and blessed
is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary
Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at
the hour of our death. Amen.

I Ask of You But This
I ask of you but this, that you do not forget me
in your prayers.

Incline Thine Ear
Incline thine ear, O Lord to our prayer, in which
we humbly entreaty Thy mercy; bring to the
country of peace and light the soul of Thy
servant to which Thou hast summoned to go
forth from this world and bid it to be numbered
with Thy saints. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen. - From the Missal

Irish Blessing
Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the Son of Peace to you.

Islamic Funeral Prayer
O Allah, forgive and have mercy on him(her).
Grant him ease and respite. Make his resting
place a noble one, and facilitate his entry.
Cleanse him with water, snow and coolness,
and purify him of wrongdoings as a white cloth
is purified of grime. Grant him an abode finer
than his worldly one, and grant him entrance to
Paradise and protect him from the
chastisement of the grave, and protect him
from chastisement of the Fire.
Islamic: Help Us to Hold Fast
Oh, Lord! Help us to hold fast all together to
Your path, even in the shaky times. Lord! You
have promised to help us in our time of trouble
and need. We rest upon Your word.

Islamic Prayer for Times of Hardship
O God, there is nothing easy except that which
You have made easy, and You make hardship
easy if You will.

Islamic: The Fatiha
In the name of Allah, Most gracious, Most
merciful Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and
Sustainer of the Worlds. Master of the day of
Judgement. Thee do we worship, and Thine
aide we seek. Show us the straight way. The
way of those on whom Thou has bestowed the
Grace, those whose portion Is not wrath, and
who do not go astray.

Jesus Said
Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who labor and
are overburdened and I will give you rest.
Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will find
rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and
my burden light."

Let Us Glory

Christ in whom is our salvation, life and
resurrection. ~ Liturgy

Life is Eternal
Life is eternal and Love is immortal and death is
only a horizon, and a horizon is nothing save
the limit of our sight.  ~ Fr Bede Jarrett, OP

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke
upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle
and humble in heart, and you will find rest for
your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden
is light." Matthew 11:28-30

May He Support Us
May He support us all the day long, till the
shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and
the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is
over, and our work is done. Then in His mercy,
may He give us a safe lodging, and a holy rest,
and peace at least.  ~  John Henry Cardinal
Newman

May the Angels Lead You Into Paradise
May the Angels lead you into paradise; may the
martyrs greet you at your arrival and lead you
into the holy city, Jerusalem. May the choir of
Angels greet you and like Lazarus, who once
was a poor man, may you have eternal rest. - In
Paradisium in the Gregorian Missal

Oratio Dominica - The Lord's Prayer
Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur
nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat
voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem
nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte
nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus
debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in
tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Padre Nuestro - The Lord’s Prayer
Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo.
Santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino.
Hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el
cielo. Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día.
Perdona nuestras ofensas, como también
nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden.
No nos dejes caer en tentación y líbranos del
mal. Amén.
