Name of the Father Almighty who created you; In
the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you; In
the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.

dwelling place in the Paradise of God.

Incline, O Lord, Thine ear to our prayers, in
which we humbly beseech Thy mercy, that Thou

Thou hast caused to depart from this world, into

O God, Who has commanded us to honour our
father and mother, have compassion in Thy

O God, in Thy mercy have pity on the soul of my
father/mother, and forgive him/her his/her
trespasses, and make me to see them again in
the joy of everlasting light. Through Our Lord
Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth
with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God,
world without end. Amen.

We beseech Thee, O Lord,
in Thy mercy,
to have pity on the soul of Thy handmaid;
do Thou, Who hast freed her
from the perils of this mortal life,
restore to her the portion of everlasting salvation.

With the Saints give rest, O Christ, to the souls of
Thy servants, where there is neither sickness,
nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting. Thou
only art immortal, who hast created and
fashioned man. For out of the earth were we
mortals made, and unto the earth shall we return
again, as Thou didst command when
Thou madest man, saying unto me: For earth
thou art, and unto the earth shall thou return.
Whether, also, all we mortals wend our way,
making of our funeral dirge the song: Alleluia,
Alleluia, Alleluia.
Among the Spirits of the Righteous
Among the spirits of the righteous perfected in
faith, give rest, O Savior, to the soul of Your
servant. Bestow upon it the blessed life which is
from You, O loving Lord. Within Your peace, O
Lord, where all Your Saints repose, give rest also
to the soul of Your servant, for You alone are
Immortal. Glory to the Father and the Son and
the Holy Spirit. O Savior, You are our God who
descended into Hades and delivered from
suffering those who were bound there. Grant rest
also to the soul of Your servant. Now and forever
and to the ages of ages. Amen.
At the Burial of a Child
O God, whose beloved Son did take the little
children into his arms and bless them: Give us
grace, we beseech thee, to entrust this child
